Welcome! Our agenda for today’s webinar is outlined below.

1. WHF Guidelines for Counting Patient Visits

2. Community Education about Utilizing Healthcare Services

  • In this segment we invite your insights on the topic of educating current patients and the broader community to help them feel safe in seeking community healthcare services.  To help frame your thoughts, you might consider these questions:
    • Are you sensing that fear of COVID-19 might be keeping some community members away from necessary healthcare services at community hospitals, clinics, and behavioral health agencies?
    • Do you think there is a need for community messaging and education to help people understand they can safely utilize community healthcare services?
    • How might we work together to support community messaging and education?
3. Updates on ‘soft re-opening’ plans
  • In this segment we invite leaders from each organization to share a brief overview of how your organization plans to re-open services as the COVID-19 landscape allows.

4. Resource Updates

 5. Quick Roundtable Announcements (time allowing)

New COVID-19 webpages were added to the coverva.org and cubrevirginia.org websites this month.

  • You will also find a new eligibility and enrollment fact sheet on the COVID-19 page and the Advocates page.
  • DMAS will be adding new information and resources as they become available, so be sure to bookmark the pages and check back regularly.
  • Please also share the URLs liberally.

The Virginia Dental Association is conducting a campaign inviting VDA members to donate Personal Protective Equipment to organizations that need supplies.

  • Here is a resource page describing the program.
    • On the right side of the page there are links to:
      • A list of organizations that have requested PPE
      • A list of PPE dropoff points
  • Contact Barbara Rollins, rollins@vadental.org if you are seeking supplies.

Update your name and Organization

Welcome! Our agenda for today’s webinar is outlined below.

1. Selected Updates (WHF, RDHW, SWRMC)

2. Roundtable discussion on envisioning community health care under different scenarios

In this segment we would like to start a conversation about our collective vision for community healthcare over the next three to six months.  We know that there is still a great deal of uncertainty about the future, and we will not ask you to describe a firm plan of action for your organization.  Our focus is more community-oriented, and we welcome your insights and ideas for how our community could work together to optimize community services under different future scenarios. We invite participants from each organization on the call to share your insights about the following.

  • What are the opportunities and the challengewe should focus on as we work together to sustain and strengthen community health care over the next three to six months?
    • Scenario A. If the virus and social distancing measures are about the same as they are now.
    • Scenario B. If the virus diminishes and social distancing measures are relaxed.
    • Scenario C. If the virus escalates and social distancing measures are the same or tighter.

3. Preparation for the May (virtual) meeting of the GWCCC

  • Our primary focus for the May meeting is to share ideas for optimizing chronic care using virtual care models.
    • Please be thinking about this topic in the context of your organization and the community.
    • If you have seen any helpful resources on this topic, please let us know.
    • If you have any particular issues you would like to cover in the May meeting, such as care models for specific health conditions or patient groups, please let us know.
